“If I had to pick just one music genre to write in… well, I guess I couldn’t do it.”
Luckily, self-described multi-genre roots songwriter Jon Hebert doesn’t have to. Jon moves fluently between blues, jazz, arena rock and Americana on his first full-length album “Bayou Wild.”
Produced by Jon entirely in New Orleans, the studio album features local players Andre Bohren, Ryan Brown, Terrina Cook, Joe Crachiola, Gina Forsyth, Ian Smith, Tim Stambaugh, Rick Trolsen, Bruce Tyner and Jeff Watkins, with Jon on vocals, guitar, bass, mandolin and percussion.
“A friend listened to the demos and said she could never tell what style of song was coming next, and she loved it. It was very intentional on my part, and I am just happy it worked!”
Jon is a Louisiana native and has been writing and playing music for over twenty years. He is currently working on his next studio album, writing a book, and he continues to perform in New Orleans.
