Explore my jewelry line, featuring upcycled parts from antique New Orleans pianos
These unique, hand-made items use up-cycled piano parts from historic 50-120-year-old New Orleans pianos. I work primarily with sharp keys, plastic white keytops, key buttons, back checks, and dampers. I also sell at art markets around New Orleans.
It all started when my neighbor, a piano repairman in New Orleans, came to me with a bag of old piano keys. This was the origin of my unique black piano key necklaces. Later on, my neighbor gave me a full piano action he couldn’t use. I stripped it of parts and began my journey of making as many unique jewelry pieces as I could with the strangely shaped parts.
“Creative jewelry. I love it!”
“A beautiful repurposed piano key. Quite a statement piece!”
“This was a graduation gift for a close friend, and he loves it! Very cool concept, and you have to love a good sustainable upcycle :)”
